St James, MO (March 9, 2022) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following an auto accident in Phelps County on Sunday evening, March 6.
At around 6:10 p.m., authorities were requested on-site at a crash on Highway 8. Reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that a 2004 Audi TT collided with a 1997 GMC Sierra on Highway 8 just south of St James.
The driver of the Audi, 46-year-old Stephen Pontremoli, and a passenger in the GMC, 61-year-old Deborah Haggard, were both injured. The St James Ambulance transported both victims to Phelps Health for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
