St Louis, MO (March 8, 2022) – One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries following an automobile accident in the St Louis area on Sunday morning, March 6.
At around 3:40 a.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of an auto accident on Interstate 55.
Reports from MSHP show that a 2002 Ford Taurus was traveling in the wrong way on southbound Interstate 55. As a result, it collided with a 2008 Pontiac G6 head-on near Reavis Barracks Road.
The driver of the Pontiac, 52-year-old Anthony Gentle, sustained injuries as a result of the motor vehicle accident. He was transported to Mercy Hospital South for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
