St Louis, MO (March 19, 2022) – One teen has lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the St Louis area. At around 3:45 a.m., on March 18, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Interstate 44.
Reports from authorities show that a 17-year-old man was in the standing lane traveling east on Interstate 44. For unknown reasons, a 2013 Kia Optima swerved just east of the intersection of Antire Road. As a result, the Kia struck the teen.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was declared deceased at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
