St Louis, MO (March 23, 2022) – Three people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident in St Louis on Monday evening. At around 8:10 p.m., on March 21, emergency crews were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in Interstate 70.
Reports from authorities show that a 2008 Infinite 635, a 2021 Dodge Durango, and a 2018 Kia Optima all became involved in a collision on the westbound side of Interstate 70. The incident caused delays in the roadway just west of Lucas and Hunt Road.
The incident left multiple people injured. Two victims, 19-year-old Kevin Hawthorne and 20-year-old Jeremiah Jackson, were both transported to SSM Health Depaul Hospital for medical care.
A third victim, 20-year-old Geniya Small, was transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital for the treatment of injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under investigation.
