St Louis, MO (March 31, 2022) – One woman was transported to Mercy Hospital in St Louis for the treatment of injuries following a multi-vehicle accident in the St Louis area. At around 12:20 p.m., on March 30, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 270.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2014 Honda CRV hydroplaned on the northbound side of Interstate 270. As a result, the vehicle collided with a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta just south of Dougherty Ferry Road. The impact of the crash caused the Volkswagen driver to lose control of his vehicle. The Volkswagen then struck a 2007 Honda Odyssey.
A passenger in the Volkswagen, 26-year-old Caitlyn Gebhardt, sustained injuries in the accident. She was transported to Mercy Hospital in St Louis for medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
