Blue Springs, MO (May 5, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident in Jackson County that left one man with injuries. Just before 1:30 p.m., on May 4, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that an auto accident on Interstate 70 required assistance.
According to reports from trooper DT Craig at the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a collision between a 2003 Ford Ranger, a 2020 Volvo, and a 2020 Ford Transit occurred on Interstate 70 near the 21.6-mile marker. The Ford Ranger collided with the median cables, causing the breeze to strike the Volvo and the Transit.
One person involved in the accident was injured. EMS transported 28-year-old Dustin Cross of Bates City, Missouri, to Centerpoint Hospital for the treatment of moderate injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
