Longwood Township, MO (May 11, 2022) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in Pettis County that left one teen from Sedalia, Missouri injured.
At around 6:45 a.m., on May 8, MSHP was dispatched to the site of a collision on US Highway 65. Reports from authorities show that a 2005 Nissan Altima childhood north on US Highway 65 at a high rate of speed. As a vehicle went around a curve just north of Trickum Road, the vehicle skidded and traveled off the left side of the road. The vehicle then crossed the centerline and became involved in an accident. The Nissan then struck a guard rail and began spinning before when off the left side of the road again.
A 17-year-old male involved in the accident was injured. The victim was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for emergency medical care.
At this time, investigations to determine the cause of the crash are underway.
