Marionville, MO (May 12, 2022) – One man has lost his life as a result of a crash that took place in Lawrence County on Tuesday evening, May 10. At around 4:35 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to an auto wreck that blocked Route T.
Reports from authorities show that a collision between a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck and a 2003 Ford Focus occurred on Route T just three miles north of Marionville. The Ford then went off the roadway and struck a utility pole before overturning.
The driver of the Ford, 77-year-old Earnestine Smith, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
