Reeds Spring, MO – Landon Ryan, John Deckard & Richard Avery Injured in Route Y Motorcycle Wreck

Reeds Spring, MO (May 10, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident that left three people with significant injuries. At around 8:45 p.m., on May 8, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Route Y.

Reports provided by Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2005 Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle attempted to avoid a collision with an unknown vehicle while traveling on Route Y. As a result, the vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned. The rider was ejected. A 2011 Harley Davidson Street Glide Ultra motorcycle then slowed to avoid a collision with the same vehicle when they were struck by a 2011 Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle.

Three people involved in the crash were injured. EMS transported 48-year-old John Deckard to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. A second EMS transported 62-year-old Richard Avery to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. A third victim, 22-year-old Landon Ryan, was airlifted and flown to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
