Springfield, MO – Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Farm Rd 140

Springfield, MO (May 24, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported just south of Springfield sent two people to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for the treatment of injuries. At around 10:50 a.m., on May 21, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Farm Road 140.

Reports provided by authorities show that the driver of a 2004 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2019 Toyota Corolla. As the Chevrolet pulled out in front of the Toyota on Farm Road 140, the two vehicles collided just one quarter-mile south of Springfield.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage and had to be towed from the scene. Authorities blocked off a portion of the roadway as they worked to clear the accident.

EMS transported 19-year-old Elijah Dean and 21-year-old Sarah Norton to Cox South Hospital for further care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
