St Charles, MO (May 28, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the St. Charles area left one woman injured. At around 6:30 p.m., on May 25, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 70.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling on the eastbound side of Interstate 70 when it became involved in a collision with a 2022 Chevrolet Suburban just east of Zumbehl Road.
The Cavalier sustained moderate damage as a result of the accident and was towed from the scene. The driver, 19-year-old Alexis Richard, sustained injuries in the accident. She was transported by St. Charles City Fire and Rescue to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital East for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation
