St Louis, MO (May 28, 2022) – One woman was left injured as a result of a multivehicle collision in the St. Louis area on Wednesday evening, May 25. Just after 10 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 70.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2015 Volvo VNL was traveling east on Interstate 70 at the east end of the Blanchet Bridge. A 2010 Ford F150 pickup truck was traveling in front of the Volvo. A 2015 Nissan Altima was traveling in front of the Ford. A 2014 Ford Flex was traveling in front of the Nissan.
As the vehicles approached the area just east of the Blanchet Bridge, the Volvo crashed into the rear of the Ford F150. The impact of the crash caused the Ford F150 to crash into the rear of the Nissan. The Nissan then crashed into the rear of the Ford Flex.
All four vehicles involved in the accident sustained moderate damage. The four vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, 30-year-old Jade Russell, sustained injuries in the accident. She was transported by Pattonville Fire Protection District to SSM Health Central Depaul Hospital for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Jade Russell at this time. We hope for her full recovery.
