St Louis, MO (May 15, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the St Louis area sent one woman to a local hospital with significant injuries. At around 9:20 p.m., on May 13, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Interstate 270.
Reports from authorities show that a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling east on Interstate 270. For unknown reasons, the vehicle was sideswiped by a 2021 Hyundai Elantra just west of Bellefontaine Road.
The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to collide with a 2021 Dodge Ram 5500 pickup truck. The Chevrolet then went off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 40-year-old Kristen Stimage, sustained moderate injuries in the accident. She was transported by Christian Hospital EMS to SSM Health DePaul Hospital for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Kristen Stimage at this time. We hope for her full recovery.
