St Louis, MO (May 28, 2022) – An auto wreck that took place in the St. Louis area on Thursday morning left one man injured. At around 7:50 a.m., on May 26, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 270.
Reports provided by MSHP Master Sgt. MG Autenreith show that a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, a 2017 Nissan Versa, and a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer were traveling southbound on Interstate 270 during the morning hours.
For unknown reasons, the Chevrolet crashed into the rear of the Nissan. The impact of the crash caused the Nissan to strike the Mitsubishi. The incident caused moderate delays in the area just north of Interstate 64. Authorities closed off a portion of the roadway as they work to clear the scene.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, 55-year-old Thomas Hancock, sustained injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by Creve Coeur Fire Protection District for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Thomas Hancock at this time. We hope for his full recovery.
