Archie, MO (November 17, 2022) – A traffic collision occurred in the Archie area that left one woman injured on Wednesday evening, November 16. At around 4:45 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a traffic accident took place on Highway E.

According to reports provided by authorities, a 2018 Dodge Ram pickup truck collided with a 2006 Kia Sorrento on Highway E at the intersection of Northeast County Road 2763. The vehicle collision occurred as the driver of the Dodge failed to yield during a turn and pulled into the path of the Kia.

The driver of the Kia, 45-year-old Erin Newkirk of Butler, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries in the collision. She was transported by Bates County ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital, where she underwent emergency care.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
