Birch Tree, MO (November 30, 2022) – A traffic accident took place in Shannon County just two miles east of Birch Tree, Missouri, that left a woman with significant injuries. The crash was reported at around 6:35 p.m. on November 28.
Preliminary investigations performed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that the driver of a 2007 Cadillac DTS failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2017 Ford Focus on US Highway 60. As a result, the two vehicles crashed into one another. The two vehicles were severely damaged as a result of the crash and had to be removed from the scene.
A 71-year-old female involved in the accident, identified as Cheryl Glancy of Birch Tree, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries. Glancy was transported by Shannon County EMS to Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View, Missouri, where she underwent emergency care.
The crash remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol at this time.
