Boone County, MO – Matthew Amburgey & Victoria Swearengin Injured in Crash on Route WW at El Chaparral Ave

Boone County, MO (November 11, 2022) – A traffic accident took place in Boone County on Thursday morning that left two people seriously injured. At around 6:50 a.m., on November 10, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified that a crash occurred on Route WW.

Authorities arrived at the scene and immediately secured off the area. According to local law enforcement, the driver of a 2010 Pontiac G6 attempted to navigate a left turn in the area of Route WW at the intersection of El Chaparral Avenue. As a result, the vehicle traveled into the path of the 2015 Chevrolet city express. The two vehicles collided, leaving them both totaled.

Two people involved in the crash, 21-year-old Matthew Amburgey and 33-year-old Victoria Swearingin, both suffered serious injuries. Both victims were transported by Boone County EMS to University Hospital, where they underwent emergency medical care.

All Missouri State Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash.
