Accidents occur often in the state of Missouri. In fact, over 100,000 accidents take place in our state annually. Many of these accidents result in injuries. Unfortunately, there are many accidents that take place due to negligent drivers.
Turning without looking is one of the most common causes of accidents in Missouri. Drivers who fail to look both ways before turning are more likely to cause an accident.
Failing to yield the right-of-way is another common factor reported in vehicle collisions across our state. When two vehicles proceed through an intersection at the same time, it is essential that drivers yield the right-of-way to vehicles that are able to proceed through the intersection. When drivers fail to yield, they can cause serious accidents.
Finally, passing through stop signs is another leading factor in vehicle collisions in Missouri. Drivers who do not stop completely at a stop sign are more likely to cause an accident.
