Car Accidents in Missouri
A motor vehicle crash can change your life forever. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of people here in Missouri are left with debilitating injuries as a result of crashes every year. There are many cases where these accidents are entirely preventable. We constantly see innocent people lose their lives or suffer debilitating injuries as a result of driver negligence.
Inattentive driving is the number one cause of car accidents, and making a U-turn is one of the most dangerous maneuvers a driver can make. There are several ways that U-turns can lead to devastating car accidents. These include:
- Failing to yield to oncoming traffic: If a driver making a U-turn does not yield to oncoming traffic, he or she is likely to cause an accident.
- Making an improper turn: When making a U-turn, drivers must follow the proper procedure for making a turn. If they do not, they may cause an accident.
- Cutting off other drivers: Another hazard of making a U-turn is that the driver may cut off other vehicles in the process. This can easily lead to an accident.
- Driving too fast: Making a U-turn at high speed is extremely dangerous and increases the likelihood of an accident occurring.
- Being distracted: As with any other maneuver, drivers must be attentive when making a U-turn. If they are distracted, they are more likely to cause an accident.
