Car Accidents in Missouri

Branson West, MO – Allyssa Gammons Injured in Auto Wreck on MO-13Auto accidents can result in severe injuries for those involved. Regrettably, countless people in our state are left severely injured as a result of vehicle collisions. The most common causes are distractions, running red lights, and failing to yield.

Distractions behind the wheel come in many forms. It could be something as simple as changing the radio station or looking at a map. But more often than not, it’s something that takes your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road, like texting or talking on the phone. And in today’s world of constant connectivity, it’s harder than ever to resist the urge to check our phones while driving. But even just a few seconds of distraction can lead to disaster.

Running red lights is another major cause of car accidents. We’ve all been in a hurry and maybe thought we could squeeze through an intersection just as the light was turning red. But even if you make it through without hitting anything, you’re still putting yourself and others at risk. If you do end up hitting someone, it’s almost always going to be their fault, not yours.

Finally, failing to yield is another common cause of car accidents. Whether you’re turning onto a busy street or merging onto the highway, you need to yield to oncoming traffic. If you don’t, you could easily end up in a serious accident. So, next time you’re behind the wheel, remember to stay focused and yield to other drivers when necessary.
