Callaway, MO (November 9, 2022) – A 52-year-old man from Columbia, Missouri, was left injured as a result of a crash involving a hit-and-run driver in Callaway County. On November 6, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a collision occurred on Interstate 70.
Preliminary investigations into the traffic incident show that an unknown vehicle sideswiped a 2022 Mitsubishi garage while traveling westbound on Interstate 70 near mile marker 149.2. As a result of the collision, the Mitsubishi went off the roadway and struck a median cable barrier. The second vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, 52-year-old Carl Brizendine, suffered injuries in the accident. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he underwent further care.
