Car Accidents in Missouri
Each year, tens of thousands of people in Missouri are left injured following crashes that take place. There are many instances where innocent people are left with debilitating injuries that impact their lives forever. We see countless people left with severe trauma to the head, compound fractures, and other debilitating injuries that force them into area hospitals for an extended period.
Although many accidents we see take place here in the state of Missouri are caused by drivers who are distracted, there are several other reasons why accidents continue to take place day after day. Other leading factors in collisions across Missouri include:
- Speeding: speeding is one of the leading causes of car accidents. Speeding makes it difficult to stop or swerve to avoid an accident.
- Driving under the influence: Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol impairs a driver’s ability to make sound decisions and react quickly.
- Reckless driving: Reckless driving includes behaviors such as tailgating, weaving in and out of traffic, making illegal passes, and more.
- Weather conditions: Bad weather can make it difficult to see and can cause slick roads, which can lead to accidents.
- Construction zones: Construction zones often have changed traffic patterns and can be confusing for drivers. Inattention or distraction in construction zones can lead to accidents.
