Centerview, MO (November 17, 2022) – A man and woman were hospitalized with moderate injuries following a traffic accident that took place in Johnson County on Wednesday evening. At around 8:10 p.m., November 16, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to a collision on the Southwest Highway VV.
According to reports provided by authorities, a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer was involved in a collision 800 block of Southwest Highway VV. The Chevrolet went off the roadway, where it struck a culvert. The vehicle was severely damaged in the crash and had to be towed from the scene.
Two people involved in the accident, 23-year-old Jazimin Mays and 31-year-old James Stephenson, were both injured in the crash. The two victims were transported to Research Hospital, where they underwent emergency treatment.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is in charge of the crash investigation.
