Cooper, MO (November 14, 2022) – A traffic accident took place in Cooper County that resulted in injuries, according to local news sources. The crash was reported at around 2:45 p.m., on November 13.
According to reports, a 2005 Ford F150 pickup truck overtook a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on Interstate 70 near mile marker 91. The vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, resulting in the vehicle striking a guardrail and overturning. Ford went down an embankment and rolled over. A tire flew off of the Ford and struck the Chevrolet. Both vehicles suffered damage as a result of the accident and had to be towed away from the scene.
Two people suffered injuries due to the crash. EMS responded to the scene and rendered aid to 19-year-old Bennett Peterson and 19-year-old Jackson Teter before transporting them to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, where they underwent treatment.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash of this time.
