Cuba, MO (November 5, 2022) – A young boy from Marble Hill, Missouri, was left with moderate injuries following a traffic incident in Crawford County on Friday evening. At around 4:20 p.m., on November 4, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a traffic incident on Interstate 44.
According to local law enforcement, the driver of a 2005 Ford 3 Star Van slowed down for traffic near mile marker 204 on the westbound side of Interstate 44. As a result, the vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2007 Ford Explorer after the driver of the Explorer failed to yield. Both vehicles were totaled due to the crash.
A 10-year-old boy involved in the accident, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, suffered moderate injuries. The child was transported by North Crawford County Ambulance to Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla, Missouri, where he underwent emergency treatment.
Investigations surrounding the traffic collision are underway by the Missouri State Highway Patrol at this time.
