Eldridge, MO (November 23, 2022) – A 73-year-old woman and a 79-year-old man were both left seriously injured as a result of a traffic accident and Laclede County on Monday evening. At around 6 p.m., November 21, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the site of a crash on Highway 5.
According to troopers from M SHP, the driver of a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado failed to negotiate a turn while traveling on Highway E. As a result, the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck the ground and a fence before continuing down the hill. The vehicle reentered Highway 5 and collided with a 2001 Ford Ranger.
Two people involved in the crash, identified as Barbara Inman and Michael Inman, both suffered injuries. The two victims were flown by Mercy Lifeline to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, for emergency treatment of serious injuries.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
