Car Accidents in Missouri

Fordland, MO - Cody Davenport Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on US-60Every day, people in the state of Missouri are left with debilitating injuries as a result of traffic accidents. In many cases, innocent people are left with debilitating injuries like spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and broken bones as a result of collisions. Unfortunately, the majority of crashes that occur in our state are entirely preventable. We see many accidents caused by drivers who engage in reckless actions, such as failing to yield the right-of-way.

There are a number of reasons why drivers may fail to yield the right-of-way, but one of the most common is simply not paying attention. Drivers may be distracted by their cell phones, other passengers in their vehicles, or even eating while behind the wheel.

Another reason why some drivers may fail to yield is because they do not understand how to properly do so. Many states require drivers to yield to vehicles that are already in an intersection, but some states have different laws. It is important for all drivers to know the laws in their state so they can avoid being involved in an accident.

If you have been harmed in a motor vehicle accident as a result of a driver who failed to yield the right-of-way, it is important that you understand the legal options that may be available to you. A Fordland car accident lawyer can help you better understand your options moving forward.
