Fruitland, MO (November 4, 2022) – A traffic collision took place in Cape Girardeau County that prompted the responsive Missouri State Highway Patrol and area medical authorities. Just after 5 p.m., on November 2, calls for help came in regarding a crash on US Highway 61.

Preliminary reports show that the driver of a 2022 Mack truck made a left turn into the path of a 2015 Jeep Wrangler on US Highway 61 in Fruitland, Missouri. As the Mack truck entered the path of the Jeep, the two vehicles collided. The Jeep had to be towed from the scene of the accident as a result of the damage it suffered.

The driver of the Jeep, 58-year-old Lance Holloway of Jackson, Missouri, suffered injuries in the crash. He was transported to Southeast Health, where he was treated for his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
