Truck Accidents in Missouri
Vehicle crashes occur daily in Missouri that result in serious injuries. Unfortunately, there are many types of accidents that take place on our roadways. Common types of accidents include head-on collisions, rear-end accidents, and even T-bone collisions. Regrettably, rear-end accidents often have devastating consequences for the drivers involved. When semi-trucks and other commercial vehicles are involved in these accidents, the consequences can be far worse.
There are many causes of rear-end collisions that we see here in Missouri. Leading factors in these crashes include:
- Driver fatigue: Driver fatigue is a major factor in many rear-end collisions. When drivers are tired, they may not be able to see vehicles in front of them in order to avoid a collision.
- Distracted driving: Drivers who are texting, talking on the phone, or even just not paying attention to the road can easily crash into the rear of other vehicles.
- Impaired driving: Driving while intoxicated can lead to rear-end collisions.
- Weather conditions: Inclement weather can make it difficult for drivers to see other vehicles sharing the road. As a result, they are likely to crash into other vehicles nearby.
- Poor road conditions: hazards on the roadway, such as debris or even potholes, can cause drivers to lose control of their vehicles and crash into other vehicles nearby.
