Grand River Township, MO (November 24, 2022) – A traffic accident took place in Jackson County that left a 21-year-old woman injured. At around 5:30 p.m., on November 22, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Interstate 470.

According to law enforcement, the driver of a 2010 Hyundai Sonata began to slow down on the northbound side of Interstate 470 due to congested traffic near Colbern Road. For reasons unknown, the vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2012 Buick Regal.

Authorities responded to the scene and blocked off the roadway.

The driver of the Hyundai, 21-year-old Grace Hall of Independence, Missouri, suffered injuries in the crash.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
