Jackson, MO (November 17, 2022) – A traffic crash took place in Jackson County that left one man injured. At around 7:35 a.m., November 16, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on US Highway 50.
Preliminary investigations provided by MSHP show that the driver of a 2016 Honda Civic began to slow down for congested traffic in the area of US Highway 50 just south of Interstate 470. For reasons unknown, a 2013 Toyota Corolla crashed into the rear of the Honda.
The driver of the Honda, 35-year-old Jesus Nunez Aylas of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, suffered significant injuries in the crash. He was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center, where he underwent emergency care.
The crash remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol at this time.
