Jefferson, MO – Gavin Eernisse Injured in Truck Crash on New Sugar Creek Rd near Ashwood Dr

Jefferson, MO (November 12, 2022) – An auto wreck reported in Jefferson County left one man seriously injured. Just after 10 a.m., on November 7, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a traffic accident on New Sugar Creek Road.

According to local law enforcement, the driver of a 2004 Freightliner Cascadia was backing up on the northbound side of New Sugar Creek Road when it collided with a 2000 Kawasaki ZX11 at the intersection of Ashwood Drive.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the accident. The rider, 20-year-old Gavin Eernisse of Fenton, Missouri, was rushed by North Jefferson County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South, where he underwent emergency care.

The crash remains under investigation.
