Truck Accidents in Missouri
Trucking accidents are the cause of thousands of deaths each year in the United States. In Missouri, we see countless people left with serious injuries as a result of these crashes every single year. There are many reasons why truck accidents continue to take place every day. These include:
- Distracted driving: When drivers are not paying attention to the road ahead, they may cause severe accidents with other vehicles sharing the road. We see many crashes caused by drivers who are distracted by their cell phones and other objects while behind the wheel.
- Intoxication: Alcohol and drugs can impair a driver’s ability to stay in their lane and make appropriate decisions while behind the wheel. This can easily lead to a situation where a driver crash into another vehicle sharing the road.
- Speeding: When drivers are speeding, especially while operating large commercial vehicles, they may not be able to stop in time to avoid collisions with others.
- Reckless driving: when drivers operate their vehicles in unsafe manners, they increase the risk of crashing into other vehicles on the road. This includes things like tailgating, making sudden lane changes, or other aggressive driving behaviors.
