Car Accidents in Missouri
Motor vehicle wrecks often have an overwhelming impact on the lives of those involved. This is particularly true when people suffer from severe injuries as a result of their crashes. Unfortunately, there are many cases where people are rear-ended by other vehicles while traveling. There are several reasons why rear-end crashes take place. Some of the leading factors in these collisions include:
- Distracted driving: This is perhaps the most common cause of rear-end crashes, as people are increasingly distracted by their phones, GPS devices, and other people in the vehicle.
- Following too closely: When drivers tailgate other vehicles on the road, it can result in a serious rear-end crash if they have to brake suddenly.
- Speeding: Speed is a factor in many crashes, and rear-end collisions are no exception.
- Poor road conditions: Ice, snow, and rain can all make it more difficult to stop your car, increasing the chances of a rear-end collision.
