Truck Accidents in Missouri
Truck accidents often result in more severe consequences for those involved. This is particularly true for drivers who are utilizing small passenger vehicles during accidents. These victims are likely to suffer severe trauma injuries to the head, spinal cord injuries, and even compound fractures. Regrettably, the majority of accidents that occur in our state are a result of driver negligence. The leading factors in collisions include:
- Fail to Yield: When a driver fails to yield, it can often result in a collision with another vehicle. This can be especially dangerous if the other vehicle is smaller than the truck, as the impact can cause serious injuries or even death.
- Switching Lanes Recklessly: Drivers often make sudden lane changes without signaling, which can put other drivers at risk. This can also lead to sideswipe accidents, which can be just as deadly as head-on collisions.
- Distraction: Drivers who are distracted by their cell phones or other electronic devices are more likely to cause an accident. It’s important for all drivers to be aware of their surroundings and not let themselves get distracted while driving.
