Car Accidents in Missouri
Accidents take place every day in Missouri that have serious consequences for those involved. Unfortunately, there are many cases where people are involved in rear-end collisions. This type of accident, in particular, can be devastating. Rear-end accidents often result in severe trauma to the head, snack and soft tissue injuries, and even broken bones. People who are involved in these accidents are often forced to go through medical care. Dealing with the immediate and long-term consequences of these crashes can be difficult.
Unfortunately, the majority of rear-end accidents that take place in our state are a result of negligence. Some of the leading factors in these accidents include:
- Tailgating: When vehicles follow others too closely and can lead to severe rear-end accidents. When drivers fail to maintain a safe distance between vehicles ahead of them, they do not give themselves enough time to react if the car in front of them brakes suddenly.
- Poor road conditions: Poor road conditions can also lead to severe rear-end accidents. Potholes on the road, icy surfaces, and heavy rain can all make it difficult to stop in time or maintain control while driving.
- Mechanical problems: Finally, mechanical problems can result in rear-end accidents here in the state of Missouri. We see many people involved in these accidents as a result of brake failures and accelerator jams.
- Distracted driving: When drivers fail to pay attention to the road ahead of them, it can prevent them from stopping in time to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, we see many people texting or talking on their phones, which can cause rear-end accidents in our state.
