Car Accidents in Missouri

Lincoln, MO – Auto Wreck with Injuries Reported on US-61 near Route BVehicle crashes occur daily in the state of Missouri that have devastating consequences for those involved. Unfortunately, thousands of people in our state are hospitalized with injuries as a result of rear-end accidents that take place.

Most rear-end collisions in the state of Missouri are caused by one driver following too closely to the car in front of them. This leaves little time to react if the car in front makes a sudden stop. Speeding only increases the problem, as it takes even longer to come to a stop when traveling at high speeds.

Failing to yield is also a common factor in rear-end collisions. When another driver does not see your turn signal or brake light, they may not expect you to stop or slow down. If they are following too closely behind you, they may not be able to stop in time and will crash into your car.

Tailgating is another dangerous behavior on the road that leads to several rear-end accidents in our state each year. Many drivers believe that it is necessary in order to prevent other cars from cutting them off or getting ahead of them in traffic. However, all it takes is for the car in front of you to make a sudden stop, and you could find yourself crashing into them at high speeds.
