Car Accidents in Missouri

Lincoln, MO – One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on S Lincoln Dr near Business Park DrEach year, traffic accidents take place that leave victims with devastating injuries. We often see people suffer from spinal cord injuries that result in paralysis, severe compound fractures that require surgery, or even internal organ damage. In many cases, these crashes are caused by negligent drivers. Some of the leading causes of these crashes include:

  • Driving while distracted: This can include changing the radio, talking to a passenger, or even texting on your phone. Distracted driving is dangerous because it increases the chances of making mistakes that could lead to an accident. It also decreases the chances that you will see other vehicles or people on the road around you.
  • Failure to yield: This happens when a driver does not yield the right-of-way to another vehicle or pedestrian who has the right-of-way. For example, if a car is turning left onto a busy street, it must yield to oncoming traffic before making the turn. If a driver fails to yield and an accident occurs, they will likely be at fault.
  • Running red lights: This is obviously very dangerous because it can lead to head-on collisions and other serious accidents. Drivers who run red lights are not only endangering themselves but also everyone else on the road.

These are just some of the most common causes of car wrecks in Missouri. If you’re involved in an accident that was caused by another driver’s negligence, you may be entitled to compensation to help cover some of the damages that you face.
