There are many things that can cause drivers to rear-end other vehicles, but three of the most common causes are distractions, speeding, and failure to yield.

Distractions can come in many forms, from cell phones to passengers to outside scenery. But no matter what the distraction is, it takes a driver’s focus off the road and increases the chances of an accident.

Speeding is another major cause of rear-end accidents. When drivers are going too fast, they have less time to react to sudden braking or slowing by the car in front of them. This can result in a serious crash.
