Meadville, MO (November 7, 2022) – Authorities in Linn County were called to the scene of a traffic accident on Saturday evening that resulted in injuries. On November 5, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to a crash on Missouri State Route 139.
Preliminary investigations show that at around 7:30 p.m., a collision involving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2011 Kia Sorrento occurred on Missouri State Route 139 at the intersection of US Highway 36. Reports indicate that the driver of the Chevrolet failed to yield the right-of-way to the Kia. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Both automobiles were totaled in the crash.
Three people suffered injuries due to the accident. The victims were identified as 19-year-old Jaidrian Kasey, 46-year-old Amy Frye, and 70-year-old Deborah Frye. Both Amy Frye and Deborah Frye were transported to Pershing Memorial Hospital, where they were treated for injuries. Kasey was transported by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center, where he was treated for moderate injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation at this time.
