Monett, MO (November 23, 2022) – Emergency crews in Barry County received a notification that a traffic accident took place in the Monett area that required assistance. Calls for help came in surrounding a traffic accident on Farm Road 1090 at approximately 2:10 p.m. on November 21.
According to preliminary investigations, the driver of a 1995 Buick LeSabre failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign traveling on Farm Road 1090. As a result, the vehicle collided with a 2013 Nissan Altima. Both vehicles went off the roadway and struck a fence, leaving them both extensively damaged.
The driver of the Nissan, 26-year-old Esmeranda Jaurez of Monett, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries in the crash. Esmeranda Jaurez was transported to Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Missouri, for emergency care.
The crash is being actively investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
