Car Accidents in Missouri
Auto accidents in Missouri are the cause of tens of thousands of injuries across our state each year. Although most accidents are preventable, we see many people injured due to drivers who are negligent.
There are many reasons why vehicles crash into each other while sharing the road. Some of the most common reasons include:
- Distracted driving: Drivers who are distracted by their cell phones, GPS devices, or other passengers in the car are more likely to make mistakes that could lead to an accident.
- Speeding: Speed is a major factor in many accidents. Drivers who are going too fast for the conditions or speeding through intersections are more likely to cause an accident.
- Impaired driving: Driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is extremely dangerous and increases the risk of causing an accident.
- Fatigue: Driver fatigue is another common cause of accidents. When drivers are tired, they may fall asleep while operating their vehicles or make poor decisions that could lead to an accident.
- Weather: Inclement weather can make driving conditions more difficult and increase the risk of an accident occurring.
