Car Accidents in Missouri

Ozark, MO - Jesse Middleton & Noah Anderson Injured in Auto Wreck on Route FBeing hurt in a traffic accident can change your life in an instant. Tens of thousands of innocent parties in Missouri are hospitalized annually with debilitating injuries due to car crashes. In many cases, these accidents are entirely preventable. Driver error continues to be the leading cause of crashes, despite the number of laws and rules in place to protect motorists.

Car accidents that are caused by drivers who fail to negotiate a curve are all too common. In many instances, these accidents could have been prevented if the driver had simply taken the time to slow down and use caution when approaching a curve in the road.

There are a few things that you can do to help avoid being involved in an accident while driving on a curved road:

  • Slow down and check your speedometer regularly while driving on a curved road. It is easy to increase your speed while navigating a turn unintentionally, so it is important to be aware of your speed at all times.
  • When approaching a turn, ease off the gas pedal and brake early. Do not wait until the last minute to slow down, as this could cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Instead, give yourself plenty of time to slow down before you reach the turn.
  • Stay in your lane while driving on a curved road. Do not swerve or attempt to pass other vehicles while taking a turn. This can lead to dangerous situations and increase your chances of being involved in an accident.
