Truck Accidents in Missouri

Truck accidents are the cause of tens of thousands of injuries across the United States each year. Here in Missouri, we see countless innocent people suffer severe injuries as a result of these accidents. Unfortunately, many of these accidents are a result of drivers who engage in negligent practices while behind the wheel.

Fatigued driving is a major problem on the roads today, and it’s especially dangerous for those behind the wheel of a large truck. Truckers often have to drive for long hours at a time, and this can lead to them getting very tired. When they get tired, their reaction times slow down, and they may even fall asleep at the wheel. This can lead to a devastating accident.

Distracted driving is another leading cause of truck crashes in Missouri. Truckers are often juggling a lot of tasks at once, from keeping an eye on the road to monitoring their load and talking on the CB radio.

Finally, many accidents involving trucks occur because the driver fails to yield. Trucks are much larger than other vehicles on the road, and they need more time to stop or turn. If a truck driver doesn’t give themselves enough time to brake or turn safely, they may strike other vehicles nearby.
