South Fork, MO (November 11, 2022) – A traffic accident took place in Howell County during the evening hours on Thursday that left one 53-year-old woman from West Plains, Missouri, seriously injured. Calls for help came in on November 10, regarding the collision that took place on Highway E.
According to reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at around 5:55 p.m., a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado became involved in a collision on Highway E just three miles south of South Fork, Missouri. The vehicle struck multiple cows and a goat that was on the road. The truck was totaled as a result of the crash.
The driver of the truck, 55-year-old John Atzerk, was uninjured in the accident. His passenger, 53-year-old Alychia Wilkins, suffered serious injuries. Wilkins was transported by Howell County ambulance to Ozark healthcare in West Plains, Missouri, where she underwent emergency treatment.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
