Springfield, MO (November 27, 2022) – A major traffic accident took place in Greene County that claimed the lives of several victims. On November 24, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a collision on Interstate 44.
According to reports, just before 10 p.m., a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck crashed into the rear of a 2011 Chevrolet traverse on Interstate 44 just two miles west of Springfield, Missouri. The Dodge then traveled into the westbound lanes and struck a 2018 Ford Escape head-on.
Five people involved in the crash suffered injuries.
EMS transported a one-year-old female, 33-year-old Joshua Wamsley, and 44-year-old Shandrea Holloway to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Holloway and Wamsley were pronounced dead after arriving.
The two other victims, 36-year-old Danielle Dillman and 44-year-old Patrick Holloway, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
