Car Accidents in Missouri
Accidents in Missouri are the cause of tens of thousands of injuries each year. Unfortunately, there are many cases where people suffer debilitating injuries that demand medical care. Although there are several types of accidents that take place in our state every day, rear-end collisions are often some of the worst.
There are many common causes of rear-end accidents in Missouri. One of the most common is distracted driving. When drivers are not paying attention to the road, they are more likely to rear-end another vehicle. Distracted driving can include anything from talking on the phone to eating and drinking.
Another common cause of rear-end accidents is following too closely. When drivers tailgate, they leave very little room for error. If the driver in front of them brakes suddenly, they are more likely to crash into the vehicle.
Weather conditions can also lead to rear-end accidents. If it is raining or snowing, visibility is reduced, and it becomes more difficult for drivers to see what is happening ahead of them. This can lead to accidents if drivers are not careful.
Finally, speeding is also a leading cause of rear-end accidents in Missouri. When drivers go too fast for road conditions, they have less time to react if something happens in front of them.
