St Francois, MO (November 16, 2022) – A woman was left with significant injuries following a traffic accident that took place in St. Francois. On November 1, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash that occurred on Route O.
At around 4:10 p.m., a 1991 GMC Sonoma was traveling south on Hillsboro Road. At the same time, a 2016 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck was traveling west on Route O. For reasons unknown, the two vehicles collided as they passed through the intersection. The front of the Chevrolet crashed into the front of the GMC. Both vehicles were severely damaged due to the accident and had to be removed from the scene.
A 43-year-old woman involved in the crash, identified as Melissa Leftridge of Bismarck, Missouri, suffered serious injuries. She was transported to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis by air EVAC for emergency care.
