Calls for help regarding the crash came in at around 12:35 p.m. According to law enforcement, a 2017 Lexus, a 2018 Nissan Murano, and a 2016 Chrysler Pacifica were all traveling southbound on Interstate 29. As the driver of the Lexus came to a halt due to congestion on the road near mile marker 40.1.
The Nissan following behind began to slow as well. For reasons unknown, the driver of the Chrysler failed to recognize that the vehicles were stopping. Car Accidents in Missouri
Car accidents in the state of Missouri leave tens of thousands of people harmed each year. There are many cases where people are left with traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and other severe injuries as a result of their accidents. Unfortunately, many of these accidents include rear-end impacts.
Rear-end accidents can take place for a variety of reasons. Some of the most common factors in these accidents include:
- Speeding: Vehicles traveling at excessive speeds are a major factor in many accidents, and rear-end collisions are no exception. By going too fast, you might not have time to stop before hitting the car in front of you.
- Following too closely: Tailgating can lead to disaster if the driver of the vehicle in front of you has to brake suddenly. Regrettably, we see many people seriously harmed as a result of vehicles that are following too closely to the vehicles ahead of them.
- Weather conditions: Bad weather can make it difficult to see and be seen by other drivers, which can lead to accidents. We see many accidents take place in inclement weather conditions here in the state of Missouri.
