Car Accidents in Missouri
Rear-end crashes often result in significant injuries for those involved. Given the location of impact, victims who are involved in rear-end collisions often suffer from back injuries, head and neck injuries, and other traumatic injuries that require medical care. The unfortunate truth is that most rear-end collisions are entirely preventable. Many of them are a result of negligence.
There are several causes to rear-end crashes here in the state of Missouri. Some of the leading factors include:
- Distracted driving: If a driver is not paying attention to the road, they may crash into another vehicle sharing the road.
- Fatigue: Drivers who are tired can fall asleep at the wheel or have impaired reflexes, both of which can cause them to crash into the rear end of other vehicles.
- Alcohol or drugs: Both alcohol and drugs can impair a driver’s ability to maintain control over their vehicle.
- Weather conditions: Poor visibility or slick roads can make it difficult for drivers to stop in time to avoid collisions with vehicles ahead.
- Mechanical issues: If a car experiences brake failure or a tire blowout, it may crash into another vehicle sharing the road.
