St Louis, MO (November 8, 2022) – A man and woman were both hospitalized with serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Monday morning in St. Louis. At around 9:40 a.m., on November 7, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Interstate 55.
According to reports, a 2011 Toyota RAV4 was attempting to pull over onto the right shoulder of the southbound side of Interstate 55 when he became involved in a traffic collision with the 2011 Toyota sienna just south of Interstate 270. The force of the collision caused the RAV4 to travel across all lanes of the interstate and strike a median barrier. The RAV4 was totaled in the crash.
Two people inside of the Toyota RAV4, 66-year-old Michael Jaycox and 87-year-old Dolores Jaycox of St. Louis, Missouri, both suffered serious injuries in the crash. The two victims were transported to Mercy Hospital South, where they underwent emergency care.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
